Ajai received a late invite to the 2013 Coast to Coast Regional Evaluation Camp in Fullerton, CA. The skills portion of the camp was led by Ajai's trainer, Nigel Petrie. *Ajailon is half African American and half Native American. She is very proud of her multicutural heritage and attends Pow-wows, participates in Native drumming and singing, as well as stick games.

2012-13
2012 was an eventful year for Ajai.
Moving from the Seattle, Wa. area to
Los Angeles, what began as a three week
visit became a permanent stay and
the beginning of a new life and basketball journey.She began playing at Van Nuys-Sherman Oaks Recreation Center, then with San Fernando Valley club programs No Dribble and East Valley Lions. In September 2012, she enrolled as an eighth grader at Our Lady Help of Christian's School in East LA, where she was instrumental in the volleyball team making the FIYA league playoffs, and the basketball team winning both CYO and FIYA league championships. She averaged 16 points and 7 rebounds and 3 assists per game from the small forward position. Ajailon also graduated
eighth grade with a 3.8 GPA and
was accepted to the prestigious
Brentwood School, where she
will play ball this Winter.

Our Lady Help of Christians 49, Paul Revere 25
Alexis Griggsby scored 14 points and Jada Aldana scored eight points to lead Our Lady Help of Christians to a 49-25 victory against Paul Revere Middle School in the F.I.Y.A. League championship game at Staples Center.
Griggsby scored 10 points in the first half to help O.L.H.C. jump out to a 17-0 lead.
Julia Ide and Billie Chrichton each scored eight points to lead Paul Revere, which pulled to within 25-19 early in the second half.
However, O.L.H.C. went on a 10-1 run to regain control.
Samara McCardell, Ajailon Simmons and Skylar Nolasco each scored six points for O.L.H.C.
Simmons, McCardell and Leyla Yigebru could all be headed to Notre Dame in Sherman Oaks, according to O.L.H.C. principal and coach Edgar Sedano.
